Membership year
The triathlon membership year runs from 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010. You must be a member of Triathlon WA in order to accrue points towards Triathlete of the Year and other season awards. You must be a member of Triathlon Australia to receive the ‘member rate’ at all sanctioned events.
No pro rata payments are offered for those that join late in the season – the earlier you join, the more value you get from your membership.
Racing age
Your racing age for the entire season is determined by your age as at 31 December 2009. The membership system will automatically generate your age category once you have entered your date of birth.

Click here to renew your Triathlon WA membership for 2009-10 |
- Click on the 'Register' button
- If you were a member in 2008/09, your details are already stored in the database and simply need updating. Use your membership number and password to access your information. If you cannot recall your membership number, use the ‘Look me up’ function. If you are a new member, select 'New Membership' to complete your details in full.
- Answer each question on this page as required. Use the 'tab' key to move between fields, NOT 'enter'. Please note that if you indicate you don't want to join a club, you will be registered as an 'Unattached' member which in most instances is more expensive than joining both TWA and a club.
- Click 'Continue'.
- New members, answer all fields on this page that appear in bold type. Other information is also requested, but is not essential if you don't wish to provide it. Use a password that is easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. This password will be necessary for you to gain access to your information in the future for the purposes of updating your contact details, entering events and re-registering your membership next year. Renewing members should check all their details are current and correct.
- Click 'Next'.
- Check details of membership and that the payment required amount is listed correctly. Read the Terms of Agreement and indicate your acceptance of these terms. Your membership cannot be processed if you do not accept these terms.
- Click 'Next'.
- Complete credit card details. Your verification code can be found in the signature panel on the reverse of your credit card - use the last three digits. Complete billing address details or check 'Same as residential address' box.
- Click the 'Click Once to Authorise' Button. The system may take 30 seconds to authorise your payment. If the card is not authorised, check you have entered the correct numbers, expiry date and verification code. If it still does not authorise, check with your bank or use an alternate card.
- When the payment has been authorised, the screen will display your receipt. This receipt includes payment and membership details, including your membership number. Please print this receipt for your records. You should also use this receipt as your membership identification until your membership card arrives. A receipt will also be emailed to you automatically if you have provided your email address.
- Congratulations you are a member - wasn't that EASY?!!
Any queries on the national membership system should be directed to info@triathlon.org.au.
Manual Registration
Anyone who is unable or unwilling to process their membership on-line, there is a manual option available for you. There will also be a $10 processing fee imposed to cover the additional time the office will spend processing your membership in this manner. No manual application will be accepted without this fee being paid. To avoid paying this fee, you will need to register on-line as per the instructions above.
Membership Cards
Membership cards are sent directly to each member from the card supplier on the East Coast. At the beginning of the season, card orders are processed twice a month, and less frequently later in the season as registrations slow down. You should anticipate receiving your card 2-4 weeks after registering, depending on when in the order cycle you register. If you have not received it within this timeframe, please email admin@triathlonwa.asn.au to advise, and include your membership number so that we can follow it up for you more easily.
